Adopt A Senior Pet Month Featured Cat: Gorgeous George

All through November, Humane Haven Animal Shelter will be highlighting the loving, homeless senior cats who are looking to find their perfect Forever Family! While our kitties may be “senior” in age, there’s nothing that gets old about having a cat who loves and appreciates you. Won’t you consider adopting one of our wonderful, older kitties? They still have so many years of joy to share with you — they’re “seasoned at love!”

Gorgeous George

As we continue to celebrate National Adopt A Senior Pet Month, we want to share another gentleman cat. We are thrilled to introduce you to Gorgeous George!

GORGEOUS GEORGE is a 4-paw declawed boy that likes people and gentle pets, especially head scratches. Some light brushing is okay, and he’ll let his groomer know when he’s had enough attention for the time.

George has very early onset of kidney issues, so to support his health he requires a diet designed for kidney care – but that is the extent of his needs! As an older adult with kidney issues, George doesn’t play very much, but he does like to rub on stuffed catnip toys and share human company. This sweet, quiet, and gentle boy would require a quiet home to enjoy his senior years in comfort and really blossom.

Adoptions are held at the Bolingbrook PetSmart on Weber Road from 1-3 pm on Sundays and 5-7 pm on Wednesdays. All Humane Haven cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, FeLV/FIV tested, and have their distemper and rabies shots.

Please call Humane Haven Animal Shelter (630-378-4208) for more information about GORGEOUS GEORGE or to make an appointment to meet him. George is the sort of cat who is priceless at any age!
