Adopt A Senior Pet Month Featured Cat: Paris

All through November, Humane Haven Animal Shelter will be highlighting the loving, homeless senior cats who are looking to find their perfect Forever Family! While our kitties may be “senior” in age, there’s nothing that gets old about having a cat who loves and appreciates you. Won’t you consider adopting one of our wonderful, older kitties? They still have so many years of joy to share with you — they’re “seasoned at love!”

Paris

We continue to celebrate National Adopt A Senior Pet Month, and this week we are beyond happy to remind you about the wonderful news that our lovely lady Paris is now available for adoption!

This special girl is a real sweetheart we have highlighted in months prior. Paris just happens to be deaf. She’s nice, friendly and gentle. Paris is quite comfortable being around new people and adapts well to new situations. She loves to give and get affection as well as to be petted and brushed by people around her. Because she cannot hear, she can be startled if she’s approached from behind or while asleep. You can easily get her attention by tapping the space around her so she can feel the vibrations and look for you.

While Paris does have some wheezing when she breathes, she has gone through tests (all the volunteers of HHAS, as well as Paris, thank you for helping fund those tests!) and she is okay. She receives medication for arthritis that needs to be given to her twice a day, but it is easy to give it to her and very affordable.

This happy-go-lucky girl gets along well with other cats. She’d be overjoyed to find a forever family who understands her needs and can share lots of love and happiness with her. Please call Humane Haven Animal Shelter (630-378-4208) for more information about Paris or to establish an appointment to meet her. Paris is the type of girl who knows what the good life can be and wants to share it with you!
